Kevin J Horn

Ecosystem Ecologist

Dr. Horn is interested in scaling biological and chemical processes across temporal and geospatial scales. He utilizes the increased availability in environmental datasets through inventories, remote-sensing, and environmental monitoring networks, along with increased computational power and improved statistical methods to understand ecological processes and project ecological outcomes. His current research at Virginia Tech as a post-doctoral fellow with the USGS Powell Center is focused on how nitrogen deposition alters carbon sequestration, growth, and species dynamics in North American forests.
