Ph.D. Environmental Sciences, University of Virginia (2008); M.S. Environmental Sciences, University of Virginia (2004); B.A. Environmental Sciences, University of Virginia (2001)

Interest areas:

I am interested in many of the physical and chemical processes comprising surface-atmosphere interactions, and particularly those involving forests. This includes water vapor and carbon dioxide exchange as well as the formation of biogenic aerosols from plant hydrocarbon emissions and their interactions with clouds.   I seek to quantify the ecosystem services provided by vegetation during these climate-regulating processes.

Founded and runs the Land-Atmosphere Research Station at Sweet Briar College.
