Research Interest
Emily is a conservation social scientist interested in the relationship between people and nature. Her research currently focuses on improving visitor programming in the National Park Service by empowering managers to make data-based decisions. She is also interested in program evaluation, visitor perceptions, and environmental education. Her dissertation work focused primarily on wildlife-related recreation, including increasing inclusion for people with disabilities in visitor programming.
